Nidhi, a travel blogger from India, was my roommate during Kerala Blog Express 2016. Here is her story. Nidhi was born and raised in Mumbai. Until the age of 24 the only city apart from Mumbai Nidhi had “seen” (not explored) was her mother’s hometown Agra. Up to now she has never been abroad, outside of India.
It was only in the summer of 2014, when she finally had the courage to quit her job. She followed her desire to travel and discover the other side of India. Ever since, there is no turning back. She has travelled for three years now. Last year she was sitting and looking at photos and she noticed she forgot many of the names of the places. Nidhi loves writing and she has always wanted to be a journalist. This is how she decided to start the blog. Since 2015 Nidhi is a travel blogger in India. She travels solo and she does it as a hobby. She has travelled to North, Northeast and South India so far.
Is it safe to travel solo in India? Hear her tips about how a woman travels solo in India. I find her tips helpful for solo travellers in all countries. You can follow Nidhi on www.untravel.in. The name of the blog comes from the words unravel and travel, unravel by travelling. See what happened during the recording of the video and who interrupted the interview. Nidhi will tell you also if travel blogging is popular in India. Enjoy her story! I hope it will be interesting to you and that it will inspire you to follow your own dreams! Why not follow her example and start travelling solo as well? Give it a try and see if you like it.
It might be scary at first, believe me, but “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” — Lao Tzu.
